Many of us have come face-to-face and have had our lives shattered by cancer. Whether you have lost a loved one or have battled the disease yourself, it forces us all to reflect on our vulnerability to time and encourages us to recognize the beauty of life.
The Bedroom Hour’s “Slow Motion Cinema” is a song written by the group’s lead singer, Stuart Drummond. It is a tribute to his mother, Margaret Drummond, who lost her fight with pancreatic cancer last year on August 6, 2012. It reflects a son’s feelings and thoughts in the last days of his mother’s battle with terminal illness. Its accompanying video is nothing more than a collection of photos of Margaret Drummond in different stages of her life. It is simple, honest, and heartrending.
If you would like to remember Margaret, you can donate by text. Text TBHM62 and the amount of your donation to 70070, or visit the Just Giving page at: http://www.justgiving.com/margaretdrummond
